It can take a little while for children to learn how to properly keep their teeth clean at home, even with fun lessons from our KidZaam agents! This is because several areas of the mouth are hard to reach, especially those tricky grooves on the chewing surfaces of back teeth (premolars and molars). Thankfully, we offer a simple and comfortable solution—dental sealants. Dental sealants are like big, strong shields that keep your son or daughter’s teeth safe against D.K. and his dastardly goons, helping them continue to smile confidently over the years. Contact our KidZaam Klubhouse and KidZaam KidZologists today at 855-KID-ZAAM if you have any questions, or if you’re ready to schedule an appointment. At any of our locations, we can provide your child with dental sealants, in Prescott Valley and Cottonwood Arizona!

HOW DO DENTAL SEALANTS WORK?
The application of dental sealants takes just a few minutes to complete and it is pain-free to boot! A special cleaning and etching solution is applied to the chewing surface of the teeth as preparation and then rinsed off, followed by the application of the sealant itself. A curing light hardens the sealant into place, and that’s that! Once in place, these sealants will protect vulnerable tooth structure, keeping dangerous food particles from making a home and allowing bacteria to run rampant.

HOW LONG DO DENTAL SEALANTS LAST?
With the right amount of professional care with pediatric dentists and diligent at-home oral hygiene, parents can expect placed sealants to last for around 3-5 years. However, they can be damaged or worn away. That’s why our Kidzologists are sure to inspect your child’s sealants and ensure they’re still working properly and staying strong against D.K. In fact, with care, many children make it to young adulthood with their dental sealants intact!
